If you’re around the Instagram scene, chances are you’ve seen friends posting the image above for the upcoming 'biggest party on Small Worlds;' Project Y. Hosted by Devin Equinox - a player whose created awesome spaces in the past - the party is happening on the 27th. Here at Divide, we’re always down for a good party, so I spoke with Devin to get the inside scoop on Project Y, his motivation, and his passion for the community.

Kew RoadRose: You spend a lot of time creating cool spaces that bring the community together. What inspired you to take on a role like that in Smallworlds?

Devin Equinox: You could say I have a background of attempting to bringing the community together. Never was it like that back in the day; the community was intact and rarely did you see any fights or arguments, it was tranquil and convivial. As years went by, people became more argumentative and now I can't load into a space without someone either being bullied or scolded. I strongly think that if people socialize more, compare interests, and have a great time, friends will be acquired and our community will become stronger - hence, part of my reasoning behind Project Y.

K: I agree. What a great reason to start Project Y! Where there any other reasons behind it?

D: The movie Project X had a huge influence on this party. It’s what I’m hoping Project Y will be; massive and uncontrollable. I'm trying to get it viral on social media so we can make it perhaps the biggest party on the game.

Along with project X, late in the summer of last year I met the love of my life, the owner of Smallworlds Smoothie Palace, Julie Godiva. It is the most well-put-together, most outstandingly and the most gorgeous space I have ever been to. Going there makes every place go to shame! She’s definitely an influence on me wanting to make the community come alive.

Project X is a 2012 comedy about 3 friends who throw the biggest party of their lives.

K: How great to have inspiration from people close to you! So, what do you think will set Project Y apart from other parties or clubs we see on SmallWorlds?

D: Atmosphere! There will be a custom DJ, flashing lights, moveable items, drinks and people everywhere! The best and biggest party of the summer. No other club has done this, or advertised as widely as I have.

K: What are you looking forward to the most with Project Y?

D: Creating an immense party that anyone can come to has always been on my to-do list. I have always envisioned an unruly outrage of people in one space, having the time of their lives. I imagine most of the party being in the back, near the pool area (where it will be most hype) but players can wander wherever they wish to. I look forward to a lot of things during this party but I honestly don't know what to expect. But I want to see people having the time of their lives on this game; hype to the music, screaming, yelling, drinking, relaxing; whatever they feel.

K: It sounds like it’s going to be a blast! Before we wrap up, can you show a sneak peek of the space for our readers?

D: Totally!

K: Awesome! Devin, thanks so much for your time!

D: Of course, thank you!
